Day 1: AGADIR – TALIOUINE  2 h 54 min (186,7 km)

You will admire its ochre-colored ramparts, well-preserved fort, and the focused work of the artisans in the souks. Then, continuation to Taliouine, lunch and an afternoon used to visit the town. Dinner and night at the hotel.

Day 2: TALIOUINE – ERG CHEGAGA 3h 30 min (175km)
After breakfast, departure in the desert via Taznakht and the Skoura mountain range, then Foum Zguid, where you will eat lunch. You will then enter the desert by following the path that will lead you to the Iriqui lake then into the dunes of Chegaga (300 meters high over 40 kilometers of width). Arrival in the magnificent camp before sunset. Stroll in the dunes during the afternoon. Dinner and night in the desert bivouac.

Day 3: ERG CHEGAGA – ZAGORA 3h 15 min (160 km)
Departure from Zagora to M’Hamid, you will cross 60 kilometers of desert (rocky plains, dunes and oases). Lunch at M’Hamid and visit of its Kasbahs in the afternoon, then we will return to Zagora. Dinner and night at the hotel.

Day 4: ZAGORA – Ait ben Haddou Kasbha _ Ouarzazte 2h 35min (162km)

After breakfast, you drive south to Tamegroute village. Here, you will visit the green pottery workshops and learn how to make pottery items. and the Koranic library. The return to Ouarzazate takes you off-road through the old Road of the Caravans.

You stop to explore the Dra’a Valley and to have lunch. Next, visit Kasbah Tamnougalte with a local guide. The kasbah is completely built of adobe and is still partly inhabited.

In the afternoon, you return to Ouarzazate over the Anti-Atlas and the Tizi-n-Tinfifite pass (1660m). You will be in Ouarzazte.

Day 5:  Ouarzazte – Dades valley – Toudgha Gourges 3h 25 min (192 km)

Kick-off your Ouarzazate to Merzouga desert tour by morning departure from your hotel to the Toudgha Gorges. The first destination of your trip will be Skoura Oasi, about an hour from Ouarzazate. Here, you can wander the green fields of palm trees and learn about life in the oases. Next, you will visit the beautiful kasbah Amredhil and tour its local museum. This site is a good representation of adobe-built housing in southern Morocco.

From here, you Merzouga desert tour takes you via the Valley of the Roses, and then Kel’aa M’gouna. Here, you stop for a tea break with a Berber family and visit the local cosmetic co-operative.

Afterword, you drive off-track along the Road of a Thousand Kasbahs as far as the Dades Valley. You will explore the valleys and have lunch on the spot. In the afternoon, there is time for a walk alongside the Boumalne Dades river. Then, your itinerary continues to the Toudgha Gorges. An authentic guest-house offers dinner and night rest.

6 day: Toudgha Gorges – Merzouga 2h 45 min (201 km )

After breakfast, there is time for a leisurely walk in the Toudgha Gorges and in the Tinghir palm trees grove. Afterwards, you drive to Merzouga via the Ziz Valley, remarkable for its long green oases and fortified kasbahs.

Later on, stop in Erfoud for lunch. Here, you can visit the fossils exhibits, featuring locally made fossils souvenirs and furniture. There is no obligation to buy, but the exhibits are worth exploring!

At the campsite, check in to your tent and sip a relaxing glass of tea. In the course of the afternoon, enjoy an hour sunset camel ride around Erg Chebbi dunes. Ascend the sand dunes to watch the sunset from the summit (250m).

At night, dinner is served under a starlit sky, followed by traditional singing and drumming around a campfire. Then, a private nomad tent in a Merzouga desert camp offers night rest.

we will have a panoramic view of the valley of Ziz with its palm trees and gorges. Once past the Tizi n Talghomt pass we will stop in Midelt for lunch.

Then we leave on the road to the great cedar forest where we must stop to see the indigenous Barbary monkeys in the wild. Before arriving in Fez, Morocco’s cultural capital, we pass through Ifrane known as Little Switzerland. Bed and breakfast.

Day 8: Fes Heritage Tour

Full day guided tour of the oldest of the imperial cities. Founded in 808 AD as the first political, religious and cultural capital. The visit begins with the Golden Doors of the Royal Palace. Then we will go up to an observation point to view as if looking from an aircraft.
the impressive walled Medina, inside which later you will walk to discover a thousand sensations and feel its lifeforce. Discover mosques and medrassas, caravanserais and religious sites.

Visit the tanneries where you can observe how the hides are dyed for making shoes, bags and other artisan goods.
Free time for lunch, not included, and we continue the visit to neighbourhood artisans, divided by specialties. Day 9: FES – CHAOUEN: (3 H 31 MIN; 200 KM)
Today, prepare to enter a time travel machine and let yourself be transported through the labyrinthine streets of Fez by exploring the oldest medina of Morocco dating from the 7th century with its Souks, palaces, mosques, Koranic schools and Mellah). Then travel through the Rif Mountains to the beautiful Berber town of Chefchaouen and Fez. Dinner at your hotel / Riad. The next day, accompanied by your guide, you will spend your time exploring the whitewashed streets of Chaouen, animated by the beautifully dressed locals. Dinner and overnight at your hotel.

Today, after your lunch, you will take the road to Rabat to explore the capital of Morocco and the residence of the king. Visit the Hassan Tower with its mausoleum of King Mohammed V. You will have lunch and then take the road to Casablanca for a visit to the majestic Hassan II mosque, the largest mosque in the world. It overlooks the ocean on an outcrop to the northwest of the Medina, a vast building that houses 25,000 worshipers and 80,000 others in the surrounding squares.
