Day 1:Tanger

Visit Morocco for 9 days transfer from the airport or ferry terminal to your hotel. You will have time to explore this bustling port city that was once the playground of international socialites, including writers, artists, musicians and politicians. (Paul Bowles). It is a lively, cosmopolitan and historic Mediterranean city and you get to explore a number of museums and sites. Overnight in the Hotel.

Day 2: Tanger – Chefchaouen

Today we travel to Chefchaouen, a beautiful blue and white-washed Andalucian influenced town nestled in the Rif Mountains. A laid back relaxed town, with small winding alleyways and market squares, where the women of the surrounding Rif come to sell their hand made products. Dinner is at the Hotel. Visit Morocco. Day 3: Chefchaouan – Fes (Fes sightseeing)

We travel to Morocco’s most fascinating city and the world last surviving medieval city. You will tour the medina with its “souks” (markets) stopping at the gateway of the Royal Palace, the 9th-century Karouine Mosque and University. You will also visit the tomb of the city founder, Moulay Idris II. Lunch will be at one of the traditional restaurants in the old medina. After lunch you will continue to explore the Najarine Fountain, the gateway of the Bab Boujloud, the old harem gardens and the Batha Museum. On the way back to the hotel, we will stop to enjoy a panoramic view of the city, the Mausoleum and a famous tannery where skins are cured and dyed in enormous vats.

Day 4: Fes – Volubilis – Moulay Idriss – Meknes

On your way to Meknes you will first make an excursion to nearby Volubilis, the remains of a Roman city, and Moulay Idriss, the burial place of the founder of Morocco’s first imperial dynasty.

For Moroccans it is a place of pilgrimage. You continue to Meknes, the smallest and friendliest of the five imperial cities of Morocco. The old part of Meknes is beautiful and has a feel of the oriental and the Mediterranean at the same time.

The immense city walls and gates lead the visitors’ imagination into times long gone. The labyrinth of alleys and market stands is a joy to any visitor and the friendly inhabitants will gladly show you the products they are selling, like spices, olives, pottery, copperware or carpets.

Day 5: Mekness – Rabat – Marrakech

This great capital is a very interesting point to escape all other Imperial cities hassle and hustle.

Rabat combines very well new modern cosmopolitan way of living with ancient palace and old Medinas inside castle walls facing the Atlantic coast. Rabat has a lot to offer and you’ll see plenty starting from the beautiful palaces and Mohammad 5th Mausoleum, to the Old Kasbah de Oudaias and its Andalusian Gardens.

Rabat has ancient settlements since the Phoenicians and Romans and only by the 10th and 12th century with the arrival of Almohads that’s the city started to get some size and more importance.

From here, Yacoub Al-Mansour started his Iberian Peninsula Conquer and a few years later with its success, Ribat al-Fatah aka Rabat gained great prosperity. Rabat was Morocco’s capital for several times until when the French decided to change the government from Fès to Rabat. after Rabat heading to Marrakech.

Day 6: Marrakech city guide tour

Today you will travel to Marrakech, the exotic ochre coloured city that is the imperial city of the south. Your hotel is located near the Djemaa-el-Fna Square, the vibrant heart of the city. The activities on the square are continually changing – you’ll see snake charmers, musicians, acrobats and storytellers.

In the evening open food-stalls are set up with delicious kebabs and salads. Your senses will be reeling in the narrow streets of the medieval medina.

Fully loaded donkeys walk back and forth through the narrow streets, which smell of herbs, leather and meat stalls. Overnight in your Riad.

Day 7: Marrakech – day trip Ourika Valley

Today is another adventure, an excursion to the beautiful fertile Ourika Valley where we visit traditional Berber souks and Jewish shrines. Here you will see the day to day life of the indigenous Berber people, farming and going about their lives. After lunch we are introduced to some typical workshops to enjoy the products of the sophisticated hands of local artisans. We return to Marrakech for dinner at the Riad.

Day 8: Marrakech – Essaouira

After breakfast, you will spend the day on an excursion to Essaouira. The route passes through the forest of the unique Argan trees, the nuts of which are processed laboriously into the fantastic Argan oils for cooking and massage. Arriving to this charming romantic city that was originally settled by the Portuguese, you will visit the Mellah, which is the originally Jewish quarter of the town. Enjoy the seafood and the ambiance of this special city with its blue painted doors and tiny streets full of all the colours of artisan products. Overnight in your Riad in the medina.

Day 9: Essaouira – Casablanca

Depart this morning to Casablanca through a scenic coastal drive. Our sightseeing day includes cultural visits to the United Nations Square, Royal Palace, and the huge Mosque of Hassan ll which is the largest in the Muslim world after the one in Mecca.

Day 10: Casablanca

Transfer to the Airport where you will bid farewell to Morocco and return home.
